Event Camera vs Lense

Both put a disposable camera on every guest's phone from a QR code. Lense costs less at most guest counts and keeps photos longer; Event Camera adds a guests-pay option, includes video, and only shows guests the shots you pick.

Lense details checked on from their own website. Prices change, so check theirs before you buy.

What Lense is

Lense describes itself as a way to turn your guests' phones into disposable cameras. Guests scan a QR code, type a name and shoot in the browser on iPhone or Android. Each guest gets 25 shots by default, and photos can be revealed straight away, after a delay, or kept in a private album. It also comes with a live photo wall.

That's the same idea as Event Camera, so the differences are in pricing, what's included, and who gets to see the photos.

Questions

Answers checked on .

Is Event Camera cheaper than Lense?

No. For the same number of guests, Lense's listed prices are lower: 100 guests is $34.99 on Lense and $50.30 on Event Camera (100 guests plus you). Event Camera includes video and lets you choose the shots per guest, which are add-ons on Lense, and it can be set so guests pay $1.99 each instead of you.

Do guests need to download an app for either one?

No. Both open in the phone's browser from a QR code, on iPhone and Android.

Can guests see each other's photos?

On Event Camera, no: every shot goes to you, and guests only see the album you send after the event. Lense lets you choose an instant reveal, a delayed reveal or a private album.

How long are photos kept?

Event Camera keeps photos and videos for 90 days after the event, then deletes them, and emails you reminders before that. Lense keeps them for 12 months from the event start. Both let you download everything.
